JOHNSON CONTROLS
Executive Briefing Center
An Interactive Executive Briefing Center for Engaging Stakeholders.
Working with the Portland-based agency, Downstream, I was part of a team that designed the Johnson Controls Executive Briefing Center. The environment consists of 3 multi-person touchscreen tables, multiple kiosks, projectors, and an interactive wall with directional acoustics.
Challenge
The environment needed to be a non-linear experience that could suit the needs of Johnson Control’s assorted clientele and also be tailored for each group. People needed to be able to enter the room from different locations and interact with the kiosks, the wall, and the tables in any sequence. Each device had a different “story” that required a different UI but it needed to be a cohesive experience.
Solution
Each touch point was designed as a separate attraction, but they all had shared, fundamental elements. We also ensured that each installation had similar interaction models. Through this immersive environment, we enabled Johnson Controls to better understand their clients’ needs in a fun and cutting-edge way.
Downstream’s Executive Briefing Center was so successful that Johnson Controls contracted them for additional installations.
